Robins Accountants is the largest accounting firm in the Bayside area of Brisbane. The company has offices in Birkdale, Cleveland, Springwood and at Stones Corner.

They specialise in personal and small business accounting, taxation and provide a business advisory service. If an accountant is unable to work because of computer issues, they lose approximately $200 per hour per accountant.

We first met Robins Accountants when we paid them a visit to discuss Surety IT’s business accounting needs. While we were there we became aware of the IT challenges they faced and they asked if we could help.

Grove Juice is a Queensland drinks manufacturer – they call themselves professional fruit juice nerds – and they’ve been in the industry since 1969. They started as a small home delivery business and now squeeze about 300,000 fresh oranges and press 180,000 fresh apples every day.

Such growth and success comes with many challenges, one of which is the need for 24/7 access to their critical computer systems so they can meet their customers’ order requirements.

In late 2009, Grove Juice called Surety IT and asked for help.

The Board of Professional Engineers of Queensland (BPEQ) administers the Queensland Professional Engineers Act 2002 (The Act). The Act provides for the registration of professional engineers to practise in Queensland. Registration as a Professional Engineer of Queensland (RPEQ) is recognition of the qualifications and competencies of an engineer. Such a registration system ensures a high standard of engineering exists within Queensland.

In 2010, BPEQ in partnership with the Board of Architects Queensland (BOAC) released a tender seeking a provider who could meet their IT support needs. Surety IT was chosen ahead of many others.

We went on to provide an outstanding level of IT support. We also assisted them with a complicated office relocation that had many challenges and constraints.

David Clout and Associates is a Queensland-based accountancy firm that provides specialist business recovery and insolvency services. They contacted Surety IT after being engaged to work with a large Gold Coast business which had been declared insolvent a year previously. We had supported the Gold Coast business but had been let go because of cost cutting. We had designed much of the IT infrastructure that was still in place.

David Clout and Associates explained to us that they had engaged some local IT companies to assist with the major issues that were being experienced. The issues had largely arisen because the business’ infrastructure had not been actively maintained over a long period. The local IT companies were not able to solve the issues; in fact, they made them worse.

David Clout and Assoicates were desperate to set things right. Surety IT delivered.

The Sunnybank Community and Sports Club was formed in 1967 by local parents keen to ensure that each player who trained during the week would get at least half a game on the weekend. This culture of giving a go to everyone who participates is still maintained today as the facility supports many community, sporting and cultural groups in the Sunnybank area.

When we met the club, we learnt that they had been using a single IT technician for a number of years. This person had moved away and the club was struggling to find a suitable IT support company to help them.

Since partnering with Surety IT, Sunnybank Community and Sports Club hasn’t looked back.
